jaane do mujhe jaane do (Dil Padosi Hai)

An absolutely beautiful song in all aspects. The song is relatively less popular of the lot from Dil Padosi Hai and IMHO the reason for this lies in a typical Pancham phenomenon. As I remember mentioning it earlier too, many (most) of his masterpieces are hidden in the antaraas of his songs. And those normally lie beneath a rather less

attractive (this unattractiveness has more to do with the 'catchiness' of the part rather than the quality of it) mukha.Daa. The same seems to be the case here.

Gulzar has written some wonderful lines. I especially like..

tho.Dii Khalish hogii, tho.Daa saa Gam hogaa

tanhaa_ii to hogii, eh_saas kam hogaa

and then this amazing part..

baasii dilaaso.n kii shab to guzaar aaye

aa.Nkho.n se gard saarii roke utaar aaye

It is also at this very place in the song that Pancham and Asha also try to kill you.
